The Argumentation Quality Assessment Rubric created by Cho and Jonassen (2002) and adapted into Turkish by Güç and Kuleyin (2021) was used to determine the argumentation quality. The data of the study were collected through written application, observation, and individual interview. Thanks to the teaching experiment, group work was increased in the process of model eliciting activities According to the AQAR scores, an improvement was observed in the argumentation quality of pre-service teachers in one group. In the other group, based on the data obtained from the individual interviews, it can be said that there is an improvement in the quality of argumentation of pre-service teachers.
