The purpose of this research is to process the learning of “Hydyrocarbons” subject which is involved in the unit of “Energy in Industry and Living Creatures” by the help of activities which is accordant to TGA method (guess, watch and explain) which is developed by the researcher and to research how to create an effective learning enviroment to increase targeted knowledge level and to determine the effect of the TGA method on students' learning and to assess the attitude for the chemistry lesson. The study group is consisted of 100 students in four different 10th grade classes in Ankara Polatlı Anatolian High School and TED Polatlı Anatolian High School in the 2016 - 2017 academic year. According to the content, this research has been carried out as using exploratory sequential design. In this study, activities in accordance with the TGA method which prepared by the researcher, achievement test which prepared by the researcher and how to determine the learning levels between the experimental and control groups, Chemistry Attitude Scale (2005) and Semi-Structured Interview Form were used to determine their attitudes towards the course.
