The purpose of this study is to determine how philosophy activities based on the core values of “Justice, Friendship, Honesty and Respect” included in the Life Sciences curriculum, reflect on student’s actions and thought processes, as well as the class teacher's opinions regarding these activities. The study was conducted in the 2022-2023 academic year at a private school located in the Çankaya district of Ankara. The study group was selected through criterion sampling. The participants of the study consisted of a third-grade teacher, who received training in philosophy for children, and her seventeen students. A qualitative research method was used in the study. The design of the study is a holistic single case study. Value-oriented lesson plans prepared in line with expert opinions were implemented by the class teacher. The implementations were carried out over a total of 8 weeks. The researcher participated as an observer in the process. Data were collected through observation, interviews and document analysis. The obtained data were analyzed using content analysis. The study found that some children approached moral situations more flexibly and made context-sensitive judgments, established relationships between concepts, defined concepts, and classified concepts. Additionally, it was concluded that the activities helped some children review their thoughts on values and act consistently with these thoughts. The class teacher also stated that philosophy for children is an effective method for students to internalize and reflect values in their actions by questioning them.
