Lise Öğrencilerinin Modern Fiziğe Yönelik Kaygılarının Belirlenmesi
Özet
Anxiety is one of affective factors that have an impact on the success of the student. Students may have anxieties about attending classes and performing throughout their academic lives. It can be said that one of the courses that students are concerned about is a physics course. This study aims to develop an effective and up-to-date "Anxiety Scale for Modern Physics" that can be used to determine students' concerns about modern physics and to investigate the validity and reliability of this scale.This study is carried out by general screening method. The sample of the research consists of 384 students studying in ten schools in Samsun in the 2022-2023 academic year. To develop the anxiety scale for modern physics, an item pool was first created. In order to create the item pool, 101 students were asked open-ended questions to get their thoughts on modern physics, and the answers given by the students were expressed as items. While writing the items related to the anxiety scale, cognitive, affective and behavioral dimensions of anxiety and facilitating and inhibiting dimensions of anxiety are taken into consideration. It is thought that the developed anxiety scale for modern physics will help in determining the anxiety of students and contribute to the elimination of the deficiency in the literature.
