Üstün Zekalı Öğrenciler İçin “Bir Mentor Çiz Testi” nin Geliştirilmesi

This research aims to develop a measurement tool to determine the preferences of students regarding the mentor, who is one of the educational strategies frequently used in the education of gifted students. Within the scope of this study, the focus is on the development of a measurement tool that will facilitate the ideal mentor matching of the students, in line with the importance of mentor selection so that gifted high school students can receive a beneficial mentoring service. It is aimed to develop the "Draw a Mentor" test to determine the mentor. As the method of the research, "measurement tool development processes (steps) focused on providing proof of validity and reliability" were used. The participants of the research are 125 students in four BİLSEMs in Ankara. The validity and reliability of the results obtained from the test were found to be at a good level (Select Mentor= X2(5, n = 123) =15.488, p= .008; Draw Mentor, α= .73), The applicability of the test was found to be excellent according to the opinions of the determined participants. It was determined that the findings of the “Draw a Mentor” test and the Select a Mentor test overlapped, and in this case, it was accepted as proof of validity. As a result of the test-retest applications of the “Draw a Mentor” test, it was seen that the scale measures the same structure (Z=-.244, p= .808).
