In this research, the relationship between cut-off scores obtained from Nedelsky, borderline group, contrasting group and norm referenced assessment; T score was examined. Also, it was examined the percentage of students considered adequate according to cut-off scores. The harmony between methods in terms of the classification of students as adequate-inadequate was examined. Student group consisted of 504 students in 7th grade in 2018-2019 academic year in a district of Gaziantep. Expert group consisted of 14 mathematics teachers. Data were collected with 24 item achievement test developed on the ratio-proportion in 7th grade curriculum and forms from expert group. At the end, the cut-off score for the Nedelsky was 12.20-(50.85%), for the borderline group was 12-(50%) and for the contrasting group was 14.5-(60.41%) and the cut-off score for 45 T was 11,26. Adequate student frequency was found maximum in borderline group and 45 T, and was found minimum in contrasting group. There is a significant difference between all methods except the 45 T with the borderline group in terms of the percentage of adequate students. Cohen's Kappa statistic was used to classification students as adequate-inadequate in terms of harmony between methods. It was concluded that the best fit between the methods was borderline group-45 T. The lowest fit was seen between the borderline group-contrasting groups and the contrasting group-45 T. Compliance between all methods was good or very good. Nedelsky was found to be the best method of compliance with summative score of math in terms of students’ adequate-inadequate classification.
