The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between separation anxiety level of preschool students and parental attitudes of their mothers. The study group was consisting of 303 preschool students’ mothers and their teachers in 14 different kindergarten in-between 2018 and 2019 education period in a metropolitan city in Turkey. In order to gather data Anxiety Scale for Preschoolers (Akman, 1987), The State- Trait Anxiety Inventory (Spielberg, 1987), Parent Attitude Scale (Demir, 2007) and demographic data form developed by researcher were used. Data were analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) with Correlation Analysis, ANOVA and T-Test Analysis. The results of the study showed that there is a strong relationship among separation anxiety level of preschool students, their mother’s trait anxiety levels and mother’s parenting styles. Also, mother’s parenting style has been differentiated according to educational level and employment status of the mothers.
