Karanlık Üçlü Kişilik Özelliklerine Göre Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Yaşam Doyumları

Purpose of this research is to examine life satisfaction of university students based on dark triad. Study group was determined with convenience sampling method and consisted of 516 university students from Istanbul, Ankara, Eskisehir and Konya. Measures were Demographic Information Form, Satisfaction with Life Scale and Dirty Dozen. Participants divided into high and low point groups according to Dirty Dozen points. High point groups included participants who has at least one standard deviation more from average. Low point groups included participants who has at least one standard deviation less from average. Independent samples t-test was conducted between high and low point groups of personality traits. Results showed that there were significant difference between high and low point groups of narcissism, average life satisfaction point of high point groups of narcissism was lower. There were no significant difference between high and low point groups of Machiavellianism and psychopathy. It is discussed that significant relationship of narcissism and life satisfaction can be understood in cultural context; absence of significant relationship of Machiavellianism and psychopathy with life satisfaction can be understood with dark triad literature.
