Employing correlational survey model, the study aims to determine the relationship between the organizational commitment of teachers and the influence tactics employed by secondary school principals. The population of the study consists of teachers working in public secondary schools in Ankara (Çankaya/Etimesgut/Keçiören/Mamak/Yenimahalle) in the 2016-2017 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 405 teachers selected according to stratified sampling method. “Behavior-Queastionnaire-Target” and “Organizational-Commitment-Scale” were employed in order to collect the research data. “SPSS-22.00” and “Lisrel-8.80” packaged software were used to analyze the data. “T-test/ANOVA” were applied for parametric tests according to the variables in the scales and “Kruskal-Wallis H-test” and “Mann-Whitney-U-test” were used for non-parametric tests. In addition, “Pearson Product-Moment-Correlation-Coefficient” was used to determine the relation between variables, and “multiple-linear-regression-analysis” was employed to determine the predictive variables. Of the influence tactics used by the secondary school principals, while “legitimating” was found to be used the most “personal appeal” was found to be the least resorted to.
