Öğretmenlerin Bilişsel Etkinleştirme, Açıklık, Sınıf Yönetimi ve Zenginleştirme Bağlamında Öğretim Uygulamalarına Yönelik Görüşleri
Özet
The aim of the study is to investigate teachers’ opinions on instructional practices. The study was carried out with descriptive study. The study group of the research was determined by convenience sampling and maximum variation sampling method. The study group of the research consisted of 302 teachers who work in primary, secondary school and high schools affiliated to Ministry of National Education (MNE) in Erzincan and volunteer to participate in the research. The research data were collected through Personal Information Form, Instructional Practices Scale and Semi-structured Interview Form. The quantitative data were analyzed by using Descriptive Statistics (percentage, frequency, mean), Kruskal Wallis H Test and Mann Whitney U Test with SPSS program. Also, qualitative data were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. The quantitative data of the study shows there is a significant difference in teachers’ opinions on instructional practices in terms of branch (field of study) and school level they work in. However, there is no significant difference in terms of gender, level of education, professional experience and the place of school they work in. The qualitative data of the study provide detailed information about the themes of cognitive activation, enhanced activities, classroom management, clarity of instruction, which are examined as the sub-dimensions of instructional practices. The results of the study are expected to benefit reseachers, curriculum development experts, policy makers, academicians in teacher training institutions and other relevant stakeholders.
