In this study, the effects of intelligence games used in mathematics lessons on the problem-solving skills of 7th grade students were examined and student opinions about the applied intelligence games were determined. In the quantitative part of the mixed-method study, a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group was used, and quantitative data were supported by qualitative research method by taking student opinions. The research was conducted with a total of 32 students in two seventh grade classes. While the lessons were taught according to the curriculum in the control group, intelligence games associated with mathematics subjects were applied in the experimental group in addition to the curriculum. "Non-Routine Problem Solving Test", "Routine Problem Solving Test" and "Student Opinion Form" prepared by the researcher were used as data collection tools, and semi-structured interviews were conducted and observation notes were taken by the researcher. Analysis of quantitative data was made with the SPSS program and content analysis was used in qualitative data analysis. According to the results of the research, while there was no significant difference in the routine problem test scores of the experimental and control groups, there was a significant difference in favor of the experimental group in the non-routine problem test scores. In the student opinions, it was concluded that the students enjoyed the process, found the games fun, stated that intelligence games contributed, and wanted to use intelligence games in mathematics lessons.
