The main purpose of this study is to test a model for the future decent work perceptions of vocational and technical high school students based on the Psychology of Working Theory. The study was conducted with a total of 1102 participants. For this purpose, the psychometric properties of the Future Decent Work Scale and Work Volition Scale-Student Form were examined on the students. To determine the psychometric properties of the scales, reliability coefficients in terms of confirmatory factor analysis, criterion-related validity and internal consistency were calculated. General Self-Efficacy Scale and Multidimensional Student Life Satisfaction Scale-Short Form were used for criterion-related validity of the scales. The scales whose psychometric properties were tested were found to be valid and reliable on vocational and technical high school students. After that, a model was tested in which the independent variables are the work volition and career adaptability, the mediator variable is future decent work perceptions, and the dependent variables are future expectations of work and education and life satisfaction. Personal Information Form, Work Volition Scale-Student Form, Career Adaptability Scale-Short Form, Future Decent Work Scale, Adolescent Future Expectations Scale and Multidimensional Student Life Satisfaction Scale-Short Form were used for model testing. As a result of the model test, it was concluded that apart from the direct relationship between work volition and life satisfaction, the relationships between independent variables and dependent variables, mediator variable and dependent variables, and independent variables and mediator variable were statistically significant. The results were discussed, and various suggestions were given.
