Öğretmenlerde Kültürel Zeka, Yaşam Doyumu ve İş Performansı
Özet
Teachers play an important role in shaping the future. It is seen that many teachers in
Turkey work in different cultural contexts. It has been thought that the differences they have
in their cultural intelligence levels could be related to teachers’ life satisfaction and job
performance. The aim of research is to examine the relationship between teachers' cultural
intelligence levels, their life satisfaction and job performance, and the differentiation of
variables according to demographic variables. This study is designed as a correlational and
quantitative research. In the 2021-2022 academic year, 300 teachers (197 female, 103
male) working in a province of the Eastern Anatolia region participated in the research.
Personal Information Form, Cultural Intelligence Scale, Life Satisfaction Scale and Job
Performance Scale were used to collect research data. Research data were obtained using
online data collection tools (Google Forms). Regression analysis was used to examine the
relationship between cultural intelligence and job performance. Life satisfaction was added
to the model as a mediator variable. Independent samples t-test was used to analyze the
variables according to gender, and one-way analysis of variance was used to analyze the
variables according to age groups. Research results showed that life satisfaction does not
have a mediating role in the effect of cultural intelligence on job performance. There was no
significant difference in the variables according to gender. While there was no significant
difference according to age in cultural intelligence and life satisfaction, a significant
difference was found in job performance.
