Ailelerin Eğitim Süreçlerine Katılımları Üzerine Bir İnceleme
Özet
This study was carried out to determine the areas and frequencies of family involvement in school and home education processes and to make sense of the relationships between the scores obtained from these parts and demographic variables. The universe of the study consists of the families of middle school students in Van. The secondary school families in three districts of Van in 2020-2021 academic year formed the study group determined by cluster sampling. Quantitative research method and correlational survey model were used in the study. The data of the study were obtained through a questionnaire form developed by the researcher and her advisor. The obtained data were analyzed with the SPSS 22.0 package program. The findings indicated that families attended the parent meetings and classroom visits most. It was also determined that while they mostly participated in the field of chatting about the mathematics lesson among the mathematical education processes in the home environment, the activity of buying a source book for the mathematics lesson was most frequently performed. According to the demographic variables, there were statistically significant differences in some sub problems. When the relationship between school attendance, school frequency, home participation, home frequency scores were examined, a significant relationship was found. The results of this study are expected to contribute to future studies on family participation at secondary school level in Turkey and to stakeholders in the field.
