The purpose of present study is to investigate married individuals' infidelity tendency in accordance with cognitive emotion regulation and characteristics of personality. The sample of the study consists of 257 married individuals who were reached through random sampling. The participants completed Demographic Data Form, Infidelity Tendency Questionnaire (ITQ), Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ) and Big Five Inventory Scale (BFI). Multiple regression analysis were performed for the purpose of finding answers to research questions. According to the results of analysis, it is found that re-focusing on plan and blaming others which are the factors of cognitive emotion regulation and self-control and neuroticism which are the factors of characteristics of personality are the predictors of infidelity tendency. In comparison with women, men have been found to have higher infidelity tendency. It is found that there is no statistical difference between duration of marriage and infidelity tendency. It is determined that there is a correlation between age and level's of infidelity tendency. The participants who are between 30-39 ages have been found to have higher infidelity tendency. It is also found that there is no statistically difference between having children and infidelity tendency. The results are discussed according to literature.
