Triple P- Positive Parenting Program is an international effective parenting intervention that helps children and parents regulate their own behavior. In this study, the effect of Triple P on behavior problems of 48-72 month-old children who showed behavior problems according to the self-reports of their parents and teachers was examined. In addition, examining the effects of the program on parent-child relationship and on parents' discipline methods is another main aim of the study. A total of 47 parents, including the experimental group (23 parents) and waiting group (24 parents), were included in the study designed with mixed method. After intervention, children's behavior problems and parents' dysfunctional discipline decreased and there were improvements in the parent-child relationship. On the other hand, positive changes were observed in parenting skills and positive parental perception, strategies to cope with behavior problems, parental efficiency, setting and applying rules within the family, being planned, and co-parenting communication. It was determined that these effects continued in the follow-up tests conducted two months later. At the end of the intervention, parents positively evaluated the content, materials and duration of Positive Parenting Program and reported that they were satisfied with the program. It was determined through both quantitative results and interviews and home visits that parents have beliefs about maintaining change and can reflect the outcomes on their daily lives. The findings support that Positive Parenting Program is a universal parent intervention program, so suggestions have been made to the relevant partners to spread the program in different regions and provinces of Turkey.
