Sözel Olmayan Kapsamlı Zeka Testinin İkinci Versiyonunun Türk ve Arap Kültürüne Uyarlanması
Özet
The aim of this research is to perform validity and reliability studies for the adaptation of the second version of Comprehensive Test of Nonverbal Intelligence - CTONI-2 developed by Pearson, Donald, and Wierdeholt (2009) to 8-10 years old Turkish and Arabic students. Turkish and Arabic students living in Ankara and Istanbul provinces consisted of the participants of CTONI-2 test. Within the scope of validity study, CTONI-2 and Raven Standard Progressive Matrices test were administered to a group of students to collect evidence of criterion validity. Pearson correlation coefficients were found between 0.48-0.58. Evidence of construct validity was collected using confirmatory factor analysis. Accordingly, standardized factor loadings for one-factor confirmatory factor analysis model varied between 0.55-0.64 in Turkish and 0.54-0.76 in Arabic groups. As a result of CFA, it is seen that the one-factor structure of the test is acceptable for Turkish and Arabic groups. Within the scope of reliability study, Kuder-Richardson 20 (KR-20) and test-retest reliability coefficients were calculated for the total test and subtest scores obtained from the test. KR-20 coefficients ranged between 0.79-0.94 in Turkish and 0.76-0.95 in Arabic groups. Stability coefficients for the test-retest method varied between 0.81-0.96 in Turkish and 0.74-0.96 in Arabic groups. In this study, Mantel-Haenszel and logistic regression DIF (differential item function) analyzes were carried out for the items in CTONI-2 for the Turkish and Arabic groups by country and gender. It was found that the items did not show DIF by country but some items showed DIF by gender.
