| dc.description.abstract | This descriptive study was conducted to investigate college students mate selectiontendencies. The sample consisted of 1955 female (68.5%) and 1222 male (38.5%)college students, 3177 as total, attending to the some faculties and departments ofHacettepe, Ankara, Gazi, Middle East Technical and BaĢkent Universities during thespring semester of 2011-2012. To determine the mate selection tendencies of collegestudents, Mate Selection Preferences Scale (MSPS), consisting of 50 items, developedby the researcher was used. Knowledge about sociodemographic features of the collegestudents were obtained by personal data form prepared by the researcher. Gender, levelof grade, income level, preferences about mate s political and ethnic structure weresociodemographic variables, and characteristics preferred in a potential mate whoshould posses that handled as ate preferences variables. | tr_TR |

| dc.description.ozet | Bu araştırma, üniversite öğrencilerinin eĢ seçme eğilimlerinin incelenmesi amacıylayapılan betimsel bir çalıĢmadır. AraĢtırma grubu 2011–2012 Öğretim Yılı BaharDönemi nde Hacettepe, Ankara, Gazi, Orta Doğu Teknik ve BaĢkent Üniversitesi ninçeĢitli fakülte ve bölümlerinde öğrenim görmekte olan 1955 i (%61.5) kız ve 1222 si(%38.5) erkek olmak üzere toplam 3177 öğrenciden oluĢmaktadır. AraĢtırmada,üniversite öğrencilerinin eĢ seçme eğilimlerini belirlemek amacıyla, araĢtırmacıtarafından geliĢtirilen 50 maddelik EĢ Seçme Tercihleri Ölçeği (ESTÖ) kullanılmıĢtır.Öğrencilerin sosyodemografik özelliklerine iliĢkin bilgiler de, yine araĢtırmacıtarafından hazırlanan KiĢisel Bilgi Formu ile elde edilmiĢtir. Cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, gelirdüzeyi, potansiyel eĢin politik görüĢüne ve etnik yapısına iliĢkin tercihlersosyodemografik değiĢkenler olarak, potansiyel eĢte tercih edilen özellikler ise eĢ seçmeeğilimi değiĢkenleri olarak ele alınmıĢtır. | tr_TR |
