One of the Turkish literary tradition, minstrel style poetry tradition has emerged with the influence of pre-Islamic ozan-baksı and post-Islamic tekke-tasavvuf traditions in the 16th century. These minstrels, who are members of this tradition, create poems with the divan literature poets for a long time in the structures of the patrimonial state of Ottoman geography and in the oral / written cultural transition processes.
In this process, some divan poets entered the syllabic poetry scene that prevailed in the style of tradition, and some minstrels performed poetry of the kind that the divan poets received. The debates that emerged in the 19th century on inferior-style poetry, in particular the criticisms of divan poets, have been moved to different areas with different versions in the 20th century.
The subject of our research is prosodic poems in minstrel style in the context of oral/written culture and patrimonial state structure process and created on discussions and issues about the issue that arises in its consequence.
