Esnek Parçalar Teorisi: Çocukların Oyun Davranışlarının ve Yaratıcılıklarının İncelenmesi

The aim of the study is to examine children's free play potential and creativity in outdoor spaces through the use of flexible parts (loose parts). In the research, case study from qualitative analysis methods was used. A total of 9 pre-school children in the 5-6 age group were formed in the Preschool Education program in Ankara province of this programmed study program. In determining the study group of the research, easy usage status control, one of the simple usage methods, was preferred. In the arrangement of the space, an outdoor warehouse for children to play with flexible parts and suitable parts with the characteristics of internal flexible parts were provided. Children who volunteer to participate in the research are given the opportunity to have free play time for 60-90 minutes three days a week and to play with these outdoor materials for 8 weeks. The researcher made continuous observations during this process and was also video recorded and took photographs. Non-participant observation, one of the observation types of data collection tools, was used in the research. Voluntary Participation Form, Child Information Form, Play Types and Behaviors Observation Form, Creativity Observation Form were used for certification in the research, and thematic analysis method was used in the database. As a result of the research, it was found that children spent the most time in creative play and symbolic play while playing with flexible pieces outdoors, that all play types were observed at least once, that they exhibited group play behavior the most, and that they exhibited the dimensions of fluency, flexibility, originality and enrichment from the determined creativity dimensions.
