Bilimsel Yaratıcılık Becerilerinin Gelişiminde Teknoloji Eğitiminin Etkisi: Deneyap Teknoloji Atölyeleri Örneği

The constructivist approach has significantly impacted educational environments, leading
to notable changes in students, teachers, and learning processes. One such change is the
development of "Makerspaces," which in Turkey correspond to Deneyap Technology
Workshops. These workshops, designed for middle and high school students, provide
technology-focused education to develop essential skills such as entrepreneurship, creative
and critical thinking, complex problem-solving, scientific creativity, effective communication,
and teamwork. Despite their importance, no research has examined the relationship
between the technology education provided in Deneyap Technology Workshops and
scientific creativity skills. This study aims to explore the impact of technology education in
Deneyap Technology Workshops on high school students' scientific creativity skills. An
explanatory sequential mixed-method design was employed, combining quantitative and
qualitative approaches. Quantitative data were collected through a quasi-experimental
design, while qualitative data were gathered via case studies. The Scientific Creativity Scale
was used for quantitative data, and semi-structured interviews were conducted for
qualitative insights. The study was carried out longitudinally with 21 high school students,
collecting data at three different intervals. Parametric tests, including Repeated Measures
ANOVA and Bonferroni tests, were applied to evaluate normality and sphericity
assumptions. Parental education level's impact on scientific creativity was analyzed using
one-way ANOVA and LSD tests. Results showed that Deneyap Technology Workshops
significantly enhanced students' scientific creativity skills, particularly in the fluency and
originality dimensions. However, no significant effect was observed in the flexibility
dimension. Additionally, higher parental education levels positively influenced students'
scientific creativity skills.
