Eşik Kavramının Seramik Form Ekseninde Yorumları
Özet
In this study prepared as a Work of Art Report; The existence of the concept of
threshold in the fields of literature, architecture, psychology and plastic arts has
been examined. In line with the findings, the threshold was interpreted in terms of
personal practices. Personal practices with different expressions exist in a way that
is integrated with the concept of threshold in terms of the manifestos they carry. In
addition to the etymological structure of the concept, its metaphorical effects
support the construction of the studies. Works that are not sufficient to be
evaluated solely on the basis of concept are evaluated within the theoretical
framework of aesthetic science. Thus, the process of the object becoming an
aesthetic object is touched upon and the role of the subject in this process is
examined.
The material and mental existence areas of the concept of threshold in the field of
architecture and psychology are seen in a metaphorical structure in the field of art.
The concept of threshold, whose material indicators in ceramic form are evaluated
in the plane of "Threshold Spaces", is evaluated as mental indicators in the context
of "Threshold Categories" in the psychophysics field of psychology. When
evaluated in this respect, the concept of threshold in personal applications is
located at the real-irreal layer.
