In this master of science thesis study, metal doped/undoped hydroxyapatites in various size were blended in determined ratio to synthesize its self-composites. Iron doped/undoped hydroxyapatite self-composites synthesized for the first time in this study. Synthesized materials’ characterizations were analysed. HA materials structures’ enlightened through XRD analysis and their crystallite sizes were calculated. HA vibration peaks were identified by FTIR spectra. Morphological structures of materials were investigated with SEM and TEM analysis. Elemental homogenous determination were carried out with SEM-EDS mapping technique. Elemental quantities of materials were enlightened with TEM-EDS. BET surface area of different materials and their effect on surface area were investigated. Thermal stabilities were determined with TGA analysis. Photocatalytic experiments were carried out on methylene blue dye and photocatalytic system’s optimum conditions were determined. Removal efficiency were determined with different catalysts by UV-Vis. Reusability of the catalyst with the highest corresponse were investigated. The results shows that, Nano/Mikro-Fe-HA (1:1) could be a new alternative catalyst kind for photocatalytic applications.
