Beyin (Zihin) Haritalarının Matematik Konularına Uygulamalarının Matematiksel İfadelerin Hatırlanmasına Katkısının Araştırılması
Özet
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the 'Brain / Mind Mapping'
technique on the recall of mathematical expressions. Private school 11th Grade
students who are in the Çankaya district of Ankara and whose education and
training activities are related to the Ministry of National Education have
participated in the study. By studying the studies in the related literature by the
researcher of the study and mathematics program published by Ministry of
National Education Education Board for 2017 - 2018 academic year is based on
11th class trigonometry learning field goals and achievements. 14 open – ended
were collected from the control and experimental groups consisting of 20 students
in the spring term of 2017 - 2018. The data were analyzed by quantitative
methods. The findings of the researcher showed that the experimental group had
significant differences in their recall of the mathematical expressions of the
trigonometry learning area compared to the control group participants. In addition,
when the post - tests of the control - experimental groups were examined, a
significant difference was observed in favor of the experimental group. In another
analysis, it was seen that visual information was remembered more accurately
than algebraic expressions. The study showed that the Brain / Mind Map method
contributes significantly to the recall of trigonometric equations and formulas, and
that visual information is easier to remember than abstract, complex expressions.
Therefore, it was found to be an effective method for students to comprehend and
repeat the subjects.
