This study is aimed to examine the effect of interactive book reading activities on the creativity of 60-72 month old children. The study was carried out with 26 children in two private kindergartens affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Kastamonu. Creativity Potential Measurement Test (EPoC), Torrance Creative Thinking Test Figural Form were used to collect creativity scores and Child and Parent Demographic Information Form was used to collect children's demographic information as data collection tools. Interactive book reading activities were carried out with the children in the experimental group for five days a week and a total of six weeks. The control group did not receive any intervention. The scores both in the EPoC test and the Torrance test of the experimental group were higher than the scores of the control group. A statistically significant difference was found in the graphical divergent and verbal divergent thinking scores according to the EPoC posttest results of the experimental and control groups. According to the Torrance posttest results of the experimental and control groups, a significant difference was found in fluency, originality and abstractness of the titles. No significant difference was found between the demographic characteristics of the children and their posttest scores from the EPoC and Torrance tests. According to these results, it is reached to the conclusion that, that interactive book reading activities are effective in the development of creativity of 60-72 month old children.
