There are many views on how art is and should take a position between ideology and society. In literature, it is the free choice of the author or the poet to reflect his/her ideology into his/her works. As long as partiality is not the element that determines the aesthetic structure of art and literature, and when the partial artist or writer gives his/her works a high aesthetic artistic quality, partiality should not be seen as a negative quality here.
Brecht and Hikmet, who witnessed to the experiences of the exploited and oppressed people, are authors who have clearly demonstrated their partialities with their works that aestheticize the resistance of the people against oppression. Nâzım Hikmet states that the important feature of the artist is his/her world view and that it is therefore inevitable for the artist to be a party. Brecht,on the other hand, sees art and literature as by product in changing the world.
In this study, ideology and social events influenced by the ideological approaches of Brecht and Hikmet will be examined, and primarly the literary forms of partiality will be shown and how partiality is created in literary works will be determined. The aim of this study is to explain the role and reflections of the concept of partiality in literary science in selected works of Turkish and German literature in the light of comparative marxist and sociological examination methods. In addition, it is aimed to show the repercussions of the partial attitudes of Brecht and Hikmet put forward by holding aesthetics above their ideology in German and Turkish literature.
