Objective of this study is to determine the health literacy level of students who are attending to secondary education and their attitudes against health literacy and evaluating biology and medical knowledge books with respect to their sufficiency to provide people attain health literacy. Health literacy scale and health attitude scale were developed for achieving these objectives. Also a questionnaire was prepared for determining the demographic information for students who had attended this study. Prepared scales were applied over 700 students which are attending to several secondary schools. Biology course books and medical knowledge coursebooks which are insructed by MEB in 2013-2014 were examined during examination of contents of coursebooks. After study it was observed that most of students health literacy is at low levels, and but majority of them has positive attitude against health subjects. When averages were examined it was observed that attitude of children of which par
