İngilizce Okutmanları İçin Hazırlanan Konuşma Becerisi Öğretimi Eğitim Programına İlişkin Eylem Araştırması
Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the needs of the instructors working at Ankara University, School of Foreign Languages in terms of teaching speaking skills, and specify the objectives, content, teaching-learning process practices and assessment and measurement principles of a curriculum design for teaching speaking skills as well as applying and evaluating this programme.This study is an action research study conducted at Ankara University, School of Foreign Languages in 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 academic years so as to design an in-service training programme for teaching speaking skills and examine its contributions to the classroom practices of English instructors and their levels of learning. The study group of the research was composed of 11 instructors working at Ankara University, School of Foreign Languages. As data collection tools, a questionnaire, interview, achievement test and observation have been used during the research.
