Özet
The quality of caregiver-child relationship is a vital aspect of desirable developmental outcomes. A host of studies have documented that the lack of such relationship set stage for later psychological issues ranging from aggressive behavior to addictions and various interpersonal difficulties. The current study intended to provide further contribution to the line of research tradition linking care-giver (parent) and child relationship to later developmental outcomes. More specifically, the purpose of this study was to investigate 9-14 year old children s perceived paternal acceptance and rejection with respect to their involvement in peer bullying and to a set of demographic and socio-economic variables such as age, sex, perception of school, school attendance, parents socio-economic status, to be witness domestic violence anda being subject of domestic violence etc. This study was conducted with 550 4th,5th,6th,7th and 8thgrade primary school students in İstanbul, Turkey.
