The purpose of this study was to investigate whether perceived social support and rejection sensitivity predicted internet addiction levels of university students. In addition, the study examined whether gender, class levels, parents education level, family income and daily internet usage time have a significant relation with internet addiction was examined. The study group consisted of 419 volunteering university students (302 femailes and 117 males). Internet addiction levels of participants were measured by "Internet Addiction Scale (IAS)", perceived social support was assessed by "Perceived Social Support Scale- Revised (PSSS-R)" and rejection sensitivity was measured by "Rejection Sensitivity Scale (RSS)". Personal and socio-demographic informations about participants were collected by "Demographic Information Form (DIF)". Multiple regression analysis, independent samples t-test an one-way ANOVA were used for data analysis. Result of the study showed that perceived social support and rejection sensitivity significantly predicted the internet addiction levels of university students. Also, internet addiction levels of women is significantly higher than males. On the other hand, no significance relationship between internet addiction levels of participants and their parents' education levels, family income and internet usage time. The findings of the study were discussed in the light of literature and reccommendations were made.
