Güneş Duvarı Sistemlerinin Dünyadaki Uygulamaları ve Türkiye'deki Uygulanabilirliği
Abstract
Solar wall is an auxiliary system for heating buildings. It is used to preheat the air passing through it so as to reduce the load of heating system of the building. It makes the heating system economically more efficient and provides a more comfortable environment by supplying fresh air. At the same time it minimizes the conductive heat loss by creating a barrier between the outside air and the building wall. Such systems are also used to dry agricultural products and to avoid excessive heating of the photovoltaic cells.In this thesis, ventilation system of buildings with solar wall and the operating conditions of such systems are discussed. In addition, the practical applications of solar walls around the world and applicability in Turkey are investigated. Moreover, thermodynamic analysis of a solar wall system is carried out and optimum operating conditions and material properties to achieve the maximum thermal efficiency are revealed.
