The Hat technique is derived from the term defining the art of figurative writing and is a
music technique that must be performed within the same concept and parallel to the same
idea as note writing. In order to create a line in the same way in music, the whole structure
should be performed accordingly to this idea. With this synthesis, it will be possible to
capture the simplicity that the music idealizes. The harmony between the parts is vital in
this synthesis, which is achieved by the combination of mathematics which builds the
modern timbre and rhythmic textures and the Maqams that carry the traces of the past.
For this reason, there is a need for the conductor. The conductor should conduct according
to this perspective. Hatt is a symbolic way of expression and the role of the conductor is
also symbolic. Technical information and the information about Hat is important to create
the frame at this point. With this work, it has been tried to create a perspective about the
concept of Hat.
For this purpose, firstly Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Türkmen was introduced, the scope and the
content of the Hat were explained, various studies and comparisons were made on the
sample work chosen by the authorities that the hat system was used, and according to the
results, was tried to reach to create a scope.
Descriptive Research and Screening Method were the basis of the study.
