This research is conducted to analyze the effect of Life Skills Program on five years old children’s life skills, self-perception and social emotional adaptation levels. A semi-experimental pre-test / post- test and follow-up test model with control group was used in the research. The study group of the research consists of five years old 41 children who goes to independent preschools registered to Düzce Provincial Directorate of National Education. Early Childhood Life Skills Scale, which is developed by the researcher is used to determine life skill levels of children. Demoulin Self-Concept Scale for Children is used to determine self-perception levels of children and Marmara Scale of Social and Emotional Adaptation 5 years form used to determine social emotional adaptation levels. Data collections tools are implemented before and after the experimental process. It was implemented again to experimental group 4 weeks after the end of education program. Data were analyzed with SPSS 21 software package. frequency (f) and percentage (%) are used in description of demographic information. The normality tests of the data were analyzed by the Shapiro-Wilk Test. The differences between the two groups that did not come from the normal distribution were analyzed by Mann Whitney U and the differences between the dependent variables that were not from the normal distribution were examined by Wilcoxon Test. At the end of the research, it is found that life skills program implemented on children in the experimental group created a statistically significant difference on children’s life skills, self-perception and social emotional adaptation levels.
