In this thesis research, the relationship between aggressive behaviors in adolescence and attachment theory and empathy levels were considered. The research is also were aimed at the reveal aggressive behaviors resulting from insecure attachment, and empathy and the resent recommendations for resolving this situation through preventive and interventions that school social worker can provide. In the study, a total of 253 adolescents, who attended high
schools in Ankara province in the academic year 2018-2019 aged between 13 and 18 years, were enrolled in the study. In the research, descriptive research model which is one of the quantitative research method models is used. The data of the study were obtained by Parent Linking Inventory (Parental Form), Empathic Tendency Scale and Aggression Scales as well as Personal Information Form including demographic information. The data were analyzed by using the
reliability analysis, Pearson Correlation Test, Independent Groups T-Test, One-Way ANOVA, and Tukey Test techniques. When the analysis findings obtained from the research were examined, a significant difference was found between the scores of parents, high school attachment styles, empathy levels, and aggressive behaviors sub-dimension. To prevent aggressive behaviors affecting the school climate based on the findings, protective and preventive intervention suggestions
that shape the social work practices were presented.
