A prejudice that the TBMM-GNAT (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) is engaged only in the institutionalization of the newly established Republic in the aftermath of the National Struggle is shared by almost everyone in the two most critical periods of the Republic's political history. However, in the period 1920-1923 and 1923-1927, contrary to the assumption that the members of the parliament, not only had dealt with the "big" country affairs but also carried out discussions on the social issues that the war bought up and tried to find solutions to the problems within their power. Discussions of members of parliament who were trying to produce solutions with the power of legislation in many subjects such as drinking, gambling, prostitution, saving, health, family are interesting from two perspectives. First, every member of parliament shares observations with other parliament members and today's readership, like a reporter; second, moreover, he puts forward the ideals of the future state of society of the new state likely to be established in near future. In our study as we will elaborate the two main lines, we will also try to put the differences between the first and second parliament in terms of daily life affairs of the members of the parliament which are quite different from each other but at the same time they are successors and predecessors of eachother in terms of the professions and political structures.
