In this study, the predictive power of factors thought to affect middle school students' mathematical thinking skills was examined. The study group consisted of 6th and 7th grade students studying at two private schools in the Gölbaşı and Çankaya districts of Ankara during the 2022-2023 academic year. The number of students participating in the study was 345. The data collection tools used were the Turkish adaptation of Cai's (2000) Mathematical Thinking Skills Scale by Karakoca (2011), the Attitude Towards Mathematics Scale developed by Önal (2013), and the readiness test scores obtained by students at the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year. Independent groups t-test, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the data. According to the study's findings, among the factors predicting students' mathematical thinking skills, readiness levels and attitudes towards mathematics have a significant impact.
