Garbage is an undeniable reality of the world and an indispensable part of people's daily lives, increasing day by day. For centuries, people have experimented with ways to make feces, corpse and garbage invisible and to get rid of the stench of decay, and civilization has been built on getting rid of them, providing order, hygiene and beauty. Sewers, graveyards and garbage dumps continue to be a palpable reality away from the living spaces, unseen by anyone but difficult to deal with as the population increases day by day. This is undoubtedly due to the ever-increasing consumption that turns everything into garbage at any given moment. From basic needs to special needs, the inevitable end of an object is to become garbage. The person replaces everything that goes to the garbage. There is a constant cycle of ending and beginning and this is seen as a normal activity. However, this activity seems to be not only a benefit of daily life but also of the inner world of the person. One removes from one's life every part- emotion, thought, decision, person- that no longer suits one, that no longer works for one. Every message- speeches, writings, decisions, etc. - that is not liked is called garbage. However, the person does not have the knowledge of this: Whether it is perceived as garbage by someone else or not. Garbage is about the worthless. The worthless part that should be removed from the person, excluded. That is why an object, an idea, a person, a community, a belief is called garbage and then thrown into a garbage bag, tied up and thrown away.
In this study; the reality and metaphorical framework of garbage are discussed in line with the necessary literature reviews, and the use of garbage in art is examined through artists and their works. In line with all these research; ceramic applications were made using the image of the garbage bag, which is the most important part of making invisible.
