Üniversite Öğrencilerinde Siber Flört Şiddetinin Yatırım Modeli Bağlamında İncelenmesi

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the mediating role of satisfaction, quality of the alternatives, and investment between university students' cyber dating violence victimization/perpetration and their commitment. It is also aimed to examine whether there is a significant difference between cyber dating violence among university students in terms of various variables. The study group consisted of 684 university students reached by convenient sampling method. “Demographic Information Form”, “Cyber Dating Abuse Questionnaire (CDAQ)”, and “Relationship Stability Scale (RSS)” were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of the data, independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and PROCESS mediation analysis were used by using the SPSS 25. Results show that gender, frequency of alcohol use, exposure to domestic violence in childhood, relationship duration, and face-to-face dating violence victimization/perpetration variables differed statistically in the dimension and/or sub-dimensions of cyber dating violence victimization/perpetration. As a result of the PROCESS analysis, the mediation effect of satisfaction and quality of the alternatives in the relationship between cyber dating violence victimization and commitment found to be significant as complementary mediation. The mediation effect of satisfaction, quality of the alternatives and investment in the relationship between cyber dating violence perpetration and commitment found to be significant as indirect-only mediation. Results were discussed in the light of the literature and suggestions were presented.
