Seramik Kuş Figürlerinde Bakır Matı Uygulamaları
Özet
This study report titled “Copper Matte Application on Ceramic Bird Figures” consists
of three main sections.
In the first chapter titled “Bird Figure in Ceramic Art”; The reflections of bird figures
on ceramic art in the early history were examined on the works in the Anatolian
Civilizations museum and the development of the Contemporary Turkish Ceramic
Art in Turkey in the historical process was examined. Examples of the major ceramic
artists using bird figures in the Contemporary Turkish Ceramic History are given.
In the second chapter titled “Alternative Ceramic Firing Techniques in Reduction
Environment”; Information about Ceramic Firing techniques made in oxidation and
reduction environments such as Raku, Luster, Clay-Paste Luster, Glazed Luster,
Sagar, Obvara and Copper Matte Reduction was given and supported with
examples from artists who used these firing techniques. Especially Copper Matte
Reduction Firing Technique has been emphasized and various artists who use this
technique in their works have been researched.
In the third chapter titled “Personal Works on Bird Figure”; How the bird figure can
be stylized and interpreted without departing from its essence, how it can be
modeled in three dimensions with ceramic material, and the analyzes on these
issues are emphasized.
In the report that continues with personal ceramic applications; The original use and
applications of copper matte reduction firing technique in bird figures and forms in
ceramic art are included.
