Özet
In this study, the relationship between statistical indicators of provinces in Turkey and air transportation statistics will be examined. First of all, the statistics related to the provinces included in the TUIK Provincial Indicators will be used to determine which indicators are directly related to airline transportation statistics. Indicators of the provinces where the airport is located will be used here. After determining the indicators directly related to air transportation statistics, provinces can be ranked according to air transport potential with the help of Data Envelopment Analysis and Principal Component Analysis methods by using indicators belonging to all provinces with or without airport. In this way, the provinces with the highest potential for air transportation among the provinces that do not have an airport and the provinces which have an airport but which are below the potential in terms of air transport can be identified.
