Eşine Şiddet Uygulayan Hükümlü Erkeklerin Özellikleri ve Toplumsal Cinsiyet Algıları
Abstract
The effect and occurrence of violence directed towards women is an increasing problem by the day. Ecological theory, which encompasses the issue of violence against women with relation to social gender perception, is effective in the issue because of its competence to interpret the violator and the female victim as a whole. In this research, it is aimed that a model for the individuals who applied violence against their spouses be identified with respect to the micro, mezzo, egzo and macro level factors within the boundaries of the ecological theory, social gender perception, and the factors affecting the diversity of social gender perception, be presented. In this research which is modeled quantitatively, the researcher has used a questionnary and Social Gender Perception Scale. Between 24th and 27th of February 2015, interviews have taken place with male convicts who have been imprisoned because of violence against their spouses.
