Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Hayat Bilgisi Programındaki Sürdürülebilir Gelişmeye Yönelik Görüşleri, Yeterlik Algıları ve Uygulamaları
Özet
The aim of this research is to examine primary school teachers' views, competence perceptions and practices towards sustainable development-oriented education. The study group of the research consisted of classroom teachers working in schools selected through convenient sampling from the city center of Ankara in the 2020-2021 academic year. Interview and observation forms were prepared by the researcher and were arranged as a result of expert opinions and pilot studies. After completing the relevant permission procedures, primary education 1.2.3. Individual interviews were conducted with 17 classroom teachers in three different schools working at the grade level, and a total of 29 lesson hours were observed in the classrooms of the teachers. This research is a holistic single case study based on qualitative methods and the data obtained were analyzed with descriptive analysis methods. According to the results of the research, it was learned that most of the classroom teachers had not encountered the concepts of "Sustainable Development", "Sustainable Development" and "Sustainable Development Oriented Education" before. After examining the sustainable development items consisting of 17 titles determined by UNESCO, the teachers stated that they included practices in line with these items in their life studies lessons. According to the observations and interviews with the teachers, the distance education process caused a deficiency in the evaluation dimension due to the epidemic. It is expected that the results of the research will be supported by sustainable development-oriented education and of course contribute to the increase of class teachers' awareness about sustainable development-oriented education.
