Özet
This research aims to develop a scale to measure the gender role conflict of male university students studying in Turkey. It also aims to examine various sociodemographic variables and "Perceived Threats to Manhood" and "Self Stigma in Seeking Psychological Help". The research group consists of 1,129 male university students studying in Turkey. In the study, "Personal Information Form" created by the researcher for the sociodemographic information of the participants, "Male Gender Role Conflict Scale", "Self Stigma in Seeking Psychological Help Scale" and "Perceived Threat to Masculinity Scale" were used. SPSS 25 and AMOS 23 package programs were used for the analysis of the data obtained from these scales. First, validity and reliability studies of the developed scale were conducted. Then, a one-way analysis of variance was applied to determine whether the male gender role conflict showed a significant difference according to age, the class they studied, the status of getting psychological help and the number of siblings. In addition, Pearson Correlation test was used to determine the relationship between male gender role conflict and self-stigmatization in seeking psychological help and perceived threat to masculinity. In addition, Simple and Multiple Linear Regression analysis was performed to determine the predictive level among the total scores of the scales. At the end of the studies, it was found that a valid and reliable measurement tool was developed. The information obtained at the end of the study was discussed and interpreted in the context of the relevant literature and necessary suggestions were presented.
