Ali ve Nino, Romeo ve Juliet Yapıtlarında Karşıtlıkların Başkarakterler Üzerinde Yarattığı Ruhsal Yıkım,
Özet
Contrary themes or situations are used in the literatures of all languages in order to
support and strengthen the plot and to make the reflected aesthetic atmosphere evident.
Facts that are brought together to create a contrast can be presented in a contradictory
juxtaposition, in an abstract or concrete form. The aforementioned opposition also
constitutes the basic structure of the valuable work of Azerbaijani literature Ali and
Nino (1937) and Romeo and Juliet (1597), one of the best-known works in English
literature. The contrasts such as Eastern-Western, Muslim-Christian, Asian-European
that Kurban Said used in his work are parallel to the background of the work and reflect
the reality of society. The aforementioned contrasts have an important effect on the
selves and behavior of the characters in the work. The characters shape their thoughts
and behaviors as a result of the conflicts of opposing situations they experience. The
imaginary, concrete and thematic oppositions such as light-dark, day-night, love-hate,
love-violence used in William Shakespeare’s work also affect the characters and shape
the events and behaviors of the characters.
In this study, the emotional and spiritual effects of all imaginary and objective
oppositions, especially the social, cultural, religious, geographical, and political
oppositions that Kurban Said and William Shakespeare used in their works, on the
protagonists of Ali and Nino, Romeo and Juliet will be examined. It will be analyzed
how the contrasts take the protagonists to devastation and the tragic end.
