Özet
The purpose of this research was to reveal the competencies for classroom teachers to support elementary gifted students in the regular classrooms. This research which was conducted as a mixed method research, was an exploratory sequential design. In this design, two steps were respectively followed by the researcher: the statement of competencies via a content analysis of qualitative data which were collected during a case study and an action research, and the determination of consensus among experts via a three round Delphi technique. Case study and action research were conducted during two sequential terms with the participation of five classroom teachers who had gifted students in their regular classrooms, gifted students and their parents, school administrators and other classroom and elementary school teachers.
