Çocukların Epistemolojik Görüşlerinin ve Öğrenme Stillerinin Öklidyen Geometrisinde Modellenmesi
Abstract
The aim of this research is to examine the modeling of the epistemological views and learning styles in the platform of Euclidean geometry of the children and the relationship between the epistemological views and their learning styles. For this purpose, this research is carried out with 128 children (64 girls, 64 boys) from the age groups of 5-6 representing the preoperational stage, 136 children (77 girls, 59 boys) from the age groups of 9-10 representing the concrete operation stage, and 151 children (75 girls, 76 boys) from age groups of 13-14 representing the formal operation stage. All the 415 children participated in the research forming the sample groups of the research are chosen from the different public schools in Ankara province. In the research, to avoid any kind of possible effect of the socio-economic status on the results close attention has been paid for the sample to be reflecting all the lower-middle and upper socio-economic status in a balanced way.
