Resimli Çocuk Kitaplarında Yer Alan Mizahi Unsurların İncelenmesi
Özet
This study aims to examine humor forms in picture books which are published in the language of Turkish or translated into Turkish. The study also aims whether or not these books are appropriate for preschool children’s humor development. In this study, humor forms are examined in terms of visual, verbal and circumstantial humor types. As a measurement tool, a form which is developed by Johnson (2010) and adopted to Turkish by the researcher was used. This form consists of 45 criteries which allow to see visual, verbal and circumstantial forms of humor in picture books. As a sample, 54 child picture books are used after taken by views of experts in child literature and child development. Some of these books in the sample are written Turkish and the others are transleted from English. As a result of the study, it was found that examined picture books are appropriate to preschool children’s humor development.
