Ev Temelli Erken Müdahale Programının Geliştirilmesi: Bir Vaka Çalışması

Abstract

In this thesis, it is aimed to develop a home-based early intervention program with help of activity based approach and to prove the effectiveness of the program on18 month old child with developmental delay/developmental delay risk. This study is a case study. In the application of the early intervention program in this study, according to early intervention system, necessary interviews are made with the family and detailed information about the child is collected at the beginning. After first studies, a detailed developmental evaluation of the child is performed and functional goals for the child are determined, then Individualized Family Service Plan is filled with the family. As part of early intervention program, developmental support programs are planned according to individual characteristics of family and child. After this process intervention program is implemented with the child and his family. Child, mother, father and sister is incorporated with early intervention program and 36 developmental support programs are implemented in home environment. According to the study, child’s developmental improvement is evaluated and results are shown graphically, also mother comments the applied program as a directly contributed person. All collected data from the study show that the early intervention program developed by the researcher has positive effect on child’s developmental level and mothers’ opinion about the program.
