Abstract

In this study, our aim is to identify the Late Neolithic period in the South Caucasus by investigating the remote and ideological patterns using new scientific techniques and determine the settlement patterns encountered in the process. The methodology of the thesis is based on geographical definitions. The Kura Basin has been investigated in two regions; The Middle Kura Basin and the Aras Basin. For purposes of expediency the settlements in Aruchlo, Kamil Tepe and Aknashenwere are selected. In the course of the study, the internal and external factors are examined and explained as primary determinants in the Neolithization process of the South Caucasus.
