Özet
With the effect of many varying activities and conditions, spatial buildings in ruins and desolation sometimes turns into a resistance area, and sometimes a memorial token or a space where creative experiences can be performed. In various ways one can take destruction as a creative method. This method manifests itself as ‘cleansing destruction’ or ‘creative destruction’ depending on the performance place. In the Master's Artwork Report titled ’The Relation of Space and Ruin’, by studying the concepts of destruction and ruin within the scope of these topics, it is intended to interpret the personal works with examples of artworks and artists. The first part of the research begins with the analysis of space as a concept and meanings of the concepts of ruin and destruction by studying the etymological roots of the words themselves. In the second part of this chapter the reasons for the destruction of a building are studied and various examples are presented with relevant data. In the second chapter artworks, which were produced on the concept of space and ruin, gets analysed with sample cases from the artists. The Mold Manifest; which was effective in the emergence of ‘creative destruction’ concept and offers the destruction and wither of systems by taking the opposite side of rationalist manifest’s actual destructiveness and system constructiveness, is studied and the speeches of the manifest are discussed. In the third chapter, the personal ceramic artworks, that are applied with the light of researches and case studies on space and ruin, are interpreted.
